    About the role

As a Technology Governance expert in the Global Technology Office, you will have the opportunity to support the delivery and commercial success of an exciting range of technology and operational initiatives across the world. You will be part of a diverse and motivated team, committed to delivering value and innovation. You will work with Technology, Governance and Risk specialists to ensure our platforms, initiatives and teams operate in line with both regulatory and internal standards of risk, compliance and good governance. You will also support CTO leadership in managing our diverse stakeholders in this area and shaping our strategy and plans in this vital area.

Technology is at the heart of iptiQ's value proposition, so our approach to risk and governance topics has implications beyond the Technology team. Ensuring Global Technology meets the needs of consumers, partners and our internal standards is critical to our business success. We act as change agents to leadership, technology, and operational teams, enabling change and decreasing change resistance within the organization. This role requires an understanding of technology governance, projects, business analysis, and risk management. You will be passionate about enabling data-based decision making, communicating information to senior leaders in a concise and compelling way. Experience of working in cross-functional teams and excellent presentation and written communication skills are essential.

    Your responsibilities include:

    • Ensuring a high quality and effective control environment is created and maintained, by owning Governance, Risk & Audit topics for all Tech areas:
      • Creation and maintenance of a roadmap of Risk & Cyber activities globally
      • Coordination and input to internal audit responses
      • Undertaking regular external partner due diligence and audit activities
    • Tracking the progress and benefits of control initiatives against relevant objectives and key performance indicators (KPI's).
    • Continuously improving and extending our end-to-end Technology Governance processes and artefacts, in line with business needs, best practices and emerging opportunities.
    • Be the central point of contact for technology governance topics for colleagues from supporting and '2nd line' functions.
    • Preparing data and reports for the Technology Leadership team, project stakeholders, and the C-suite, with an understanding of the different needs of each.
    • Enabling cross-functional collaboration in an international and culturally diverse environment.
    • Creating high-trust relationships with senior leadership, gaining their "buy-in" and advocacy through the quality of data, reporting and engagement.
    • Support CTO leaders in departmental reporting, budgeting, and coordination.

    About the team

We put the consumers' needs at the centre of what we do. We aim to become a digital champion and believe in data-based decisions and learning. We use the Swiss Re network to access state-of-the-art technologies and capabilities, combine it with local expertise and an innovative mind-set, constantly pushing the boundaries of how to offer better Insure tech solutions. Our aim is to help the organisation move from 'start up' to 'scale up' mode, targeting investment to optimise local and shared capabilities, while retaining the dynamic spirit of a start-up with the backing of Swiss Re Group.

Do you have a passion for delivering customer value through well governed and effective Technology? Do you enjoy thinking ahead, identifying new opportunities, and anticipating future challenges? Do you enjoy negotiating win-win, practical outcomes with a diverse range of stakeholders? If the answer is yes, then this is your ideal role

    About You

    • You have at least 3 years of experience in a Governance-related role. Project management/coordination and business analysis experience are an advantage.
    • A Master, Bachelor degree or equivalent qualification, ideally in a relevant Business, Technology, Engineering or Science field.
    • You have experience of Technology Risk and Governance techniques and tools, as well as the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
    • You are familiar with cyber risk and data protection concepts.
    • Knowledge or experience of the primary or reinsurance market is an advantage.
    • A detail-oriented and result-driven personality.
    • Clear and effective communication skills on various levels (from developers to the management) as well as different backgrounds (from business to technical).
    • Ability to appreciate the big picture as well as the details, to solve problems and get things done.
    • Ability to adapt, learn, adjust and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
    • Passionate about forming positive relationships and collaborating closely together with teammates and stakeholders.
    • You are constructive, trustworthy, and enthusiastic, open to receiving direct, constructive feedback.
    • You feel at ease operating outside your normal comfort zone and performing under pressure.
    • Strong skills with MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, JIRA/Azure DevOps, Confluence or other project and portfolio management (PPM) tools.
    • Proficiency in English is a must, while one or more additional Global language(s) is desirable.

The minimum gross monthly base salary for this role is 2200 EUR full time. Our final offer to you will be set up fairly, considering the skills and experience that you bring to the Swiss Re Group. You can look forward to extra rewards and benefits including an attractive performance-based bonus.
